We Went to the snow.....

Sunday, 31 January 2010 18:31 by Alexandra

We went and took our grand daughter for the day to the snow she had never been before.

They were so cute in their googles, and we were in our sweats with no gloves, boots or anything. It was a beautiful day up there sunny and warm.

Bubbles decidedly is not that excited about the snow.

This is our house getting ready to be cleaned up to get rented out. So we have been scraping the outside and then we will repaint after the next rain storm. We have had no rain almost three years running and now it seems the atmosphere must know we are moving to Oregon, as it rains every three days now!

The funny thing is that we have hired someone to come and help with this project which none of my girlfreinds can believe since usually I work myself to death. However as you can see I am tackleing other things like packing!

Happy new year and more...........

Tuesday, 19 January 2010 09:39 by Alexandra

I have been so busy that it has been hard to have time to blog.

I was lucky enough to share booth space with Tanglewood Fiber Creations at TNNA. I have learned more about business in the last few months than I ever thought I would. As you can see in the photo here the yarn was well displayed.

Here is how the rest of the booth looked.

There have been so many things that have gone on that I lost track a little bit. My partner had foot surgery over the holidays.

Here she is wearing her new hat from Oregon.

Here are the kids looking at us wondering what is going on.

Last but not least we are announcing we are moving. We have made arrangements to rent a house in Silverton Oregon. We are packing and cleaning our house to get to ready for a rental arrangement.  Mataniu's company has stated that they are closing the California division, and we would not be able to stay here anyway. So off we are going to the trees and at least have the  support of family and frends while we are looking for work. My father has been working hard for about a year to help us get into a better financial position and we are do grateful to him.

At the same time you will find that our web site will be changing with a more stream line look and show everything we have to offer. Please stay posted....I will try and blog again soon.....We are so excited at the new prospects on the horizon and are sure that with all our friends and family prayers we will land successfully on our feet!

Happy Holidays to All

Wednesday, 23 December 2009 11:54 by Alexandra

This is a picture of my partner and our grand daughter getting ready for her christmas recital.

The greatest gift was given to us this week. Many of you know we got married over a year ago. Before we got married we thought we would have our honey moon outside the united states. In order for this happen we would both need passports. My Partner was born in American Samoa, and apparently it has been really hard to get the state department to give her a passport. We have been working on getting them all kinds of things and were on the point of thinking she would never get one with out hiring legal help. However yesterday we recieved a package from the state department thinking they had sent all our paperwork back, however also included was her PASSPORT! Imagine our joy....Although we are long past the honey moon now and could not afford to go out of the counrty, the thing is we COULD if we wanted too.

I am hoping that all of you feel as blessed as we do and the lights of the season light your hearts with joy.  I would not be where I am with out all of you and your support, so thankyou.

So we went to Sonora for the Turkey

Saturday, 5 December 2009 08:21 by Alexandra

We left really early on thursday morning and got there in the early afternoon. After gettthing the trailer hooked up and settleed we all wanted to go for a walk right as the sun was setting. It was stunning!

Here is my mom waking Shakespeare.

Mataniu walking Bubbles,,,,

We had a wonderful time with family and friends while there and the Food! I wish I had remembered to take out the camera more on my visit but I did not so you will just have to trust me that the town of Sonora is really cute and the area is beautiful.

I have been working in my Shop more than not lately so if you are looking for Lazy Kates go to the Spinning Loft in Michigan, or Carolina Home Spun should have recieved her this week as well. If you are looking for Sock yarn go to Purl district in Silverton Oregon!

Thankyou to everyone who has supported us on our adventure of getting ourselves to where we are!
